Job Description
Job title: Solution Engineer, UK and Ireland Role Summary: Deliver expert technical and sales support for issuer‑processing solutions, guiding prospects through the sales cycle—from research and initial outreach to RFI/RFP response, solution design, demonstration, and proposal delivery—while collaborating with cross‑functional teams and vendors. Expectations: Provide accurate, compelling sales documentation and presentations; manage RFI/RFP processes; lead value‑prop and proposal workshops; maintain in‑depth product knowledge; mentor junior engineers; support strategic sales initiatives and reporting to senior management. Key Responsibilities: • Conduct prospect research and preliminary calls. • Develop, review, and lead RFI/RFP responses and proposals. • Create and deliver structured pitch presentations and product demos. • Design solutions addressing client requirements in partnership with technical and commercial teams. • Facilitate sales strategy sessions with internal departments and external vendors. • Coordinate with marketing/product owners for collateral and messaging. • Mentor junior Solution Engineers on sales support activities. • Manage sales documentation, updates, and reporting of key metrics. • Stay current on payment industry trends, platform updates, and regulatory changes. Required Skills: • 5+ years in payments industry, with significant issuer‑processing experience. • Strong written and verbal communication in English; proven presentation skills to senior audiences. • Proficiency with TSYS TS2 platform (advantage). • Ability to quickly solve problems and resolve issues. • Knowledge of cloud computing, APIs, big data, and relevant IT trends. • Collaborative mindset and effective stakeholder engagement. Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Computer Science, or related field. • Professional certifications in payments or technology (e.g., PCI‑DSS, Certified Payments Professional) preferred.
