Job Description

**Job Title** Packing Operative **Role Summary** Pack red meat products in a high‑volume processing facility, ensuring cuts are correctly identified, weighed, labelled and packed according to client specifications and SOPs. Operate in a chilled environment, meeting daily targets while maintaining hygiene, safety and quality standards. **Expactations** * Meet or exceed daily production targets and line speeds. * Perform pre‑start, hygiene and safety checks consistently. * Adapt to changing production demands and maintain a strong work ethic. * Communicate effectively in English with colleagues and supervisors. **Key Responsibilities** * Identify and place vacuum‑packed cuts into specified containers or bags. * Weigh and label cuts that require legal compliance. * Position trays and boxes on pallets per customer specification. * Sort beef quarters by date and category along rails to the input scale. * Straighten pre‑pack bags and handle bags at variable line speeds. * Operate in a chilled environment and perform manual handling tasks safely. * Work independently and as part of a team to complete tasks on time. **Required Skills** * Experience in a high‑volume meat processing or similar manufacturing environment. * Ability to work in chilled conditions and perform manual handling. * Strong communication skills in written and spoken English. * Self‑motivation, adaptability, and a consistent work ethic. * Ability to meet production targets and work flexible hours. **Required Education & Certifications** * High‑school diploma or equivalent preferred. * No specific certifications required.
