Job title: Senior Manager, Data Science – GenAI Digital Assistant
Role Summary:
Lead research and development of generative AI‑powered conversational systems, fine‑tune large language models (LLMs), and design scalable digital assistant solutions that enhance real‑time customer support across billions of data records.
Expectations:
* Drive cutting‑edge GenAI research, transform insights into production‑ready products, and mentor cross‑functional teams.
* Own end‑to‑end lifecycle of LLM development—training, evaluation, inference optimization, and deployment.
* Collaborate with software engineers, ML engineers, and product managers to integrate AI models into robust, scalable infrastructures.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct advanced research on LLM‑based assistants, multi‑agent workflows, and domain‑specific fine‑tuning.
* Design, train, evaluate, and deploy state‑of‑the‑art NLP models; optimize inference on GPU clusters and serverless environments.
* Utilize Python, AWS, PySpark, LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace Transformers, vLLM, and VectorDBs for model development and data processing.
* Translate complex AI research into measurable business outcomes, improving digital user experience.
* Mentor and lead data science and engineering teams, fostering innovation and technical excellence.
* Communicate technical concepts to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Skills:
* Deep expertise in NLP and LLM fine‑tuning, inference optimization, and parallelization.
* Proficiency with Python, AWS, PySpark, LangChain, LangGraph, HuggingFace Transformers, and vector databases.
* Strong background in machine learning, large‑scale data analysis, and relational database usage.
* Proven ability to design and implement scalable AI production systems.
* Excellent communication, mentorship, and cross‑functional collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
* PhD, Master’s, or Bachelor’s in a quantitative field (e.g., Statistics, Economics, Operations Research, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science) with the following experience:
* PhD + 2 years data analytics (or PhD+4 yrs relevant tech experience).
* Master’s + 5 years data analytics.
* Bachelor’s + 7 years data analytics.
* Minimum 2 years experience in large‑scale data analysis, machine learning, and relational database work.
* Additional preferred credentials: PhD in Computer Engineering (with 4 years relevant experience), 3+ years GenAI application development, 3+ years LLM training/evaluation/inference optimization, and GPU cluster experience.
