EVP Head of Global In Silico & AI (All Genders)
**Role Summary**
Executive leader responsible for defining, executing, and scaling Evotec’s global AI‑driven in‑silico strategy across the drug discovery pipeline. Leads cross‑functional teams, drives enterprise‑wide adoption of AI/ML and computational science, and represents the company to external stakeholders, partners, and regulators.

- Deliver a unified, scalable in‑silico capability that becomes a core business driver.
- Build and helm a multidisciplinary center of excellence integrating AI/ML, bioinformatics, data strategy, and platform engineering.
- Maintain board‑level visibility and influence over strategic priorities, investments, and ROI.
- Ensure regulatory compliance and data governance while fostering innovation.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. Own global AI & in‑silico strategy; align with scientific vision and growth objectives.
2. Design operating model linking data science, bioinformatics, AI/ML, and simulation across discovery & development.
3. Evolve the In‑Silico Hub from PoCs to end‑to‑end solutions for target ID, lead optimization, and translational science.
4. Oversee deployment of AI/ML models, molecular simulations, and data pipelines across R&D.
5. Lead multi‑modal data integration (omics, imaging, real‑world data, lab automation).
6. Build and manage data function (governance, stewardship, architecture, modeling, product delivery).
7. Champion a matrixed leadership model for in‑silico teams within adjacent operations.
8. Gatekeep AI projects, prioritise resources, and manage long‑term capabilities demand.
9. Govern full lifecycle of in‑silico tools, ensuring business impact and ROI.
10. Partner with translational medicine, IT, clinical, regulatory, ops, and commercial teams to embed AI tools and GTM strategies.
11. Analyse market trends, steer AI investments, and develop strategic partnerships (academia, AI vendors, regulators).
12. Ensure compliance with data privacy, FAIR principles, FDA/EMA expectations; delegate to SMEs as needed.
13. Define & report KPIs for performance, usage, and strategic value of in‑silico capabilities.
**Required Skills**
- Strategic & executive leadership in biotech/pharma AI/in‑silico domains.
- Deep expertise in computational drug discovery (target ID, lead optimisation, patient stratification).
- Proficiency in ML/AI technologies, systems biology, data integration, and scaling from concept to product.
- Experience building high‑performance cross‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement in matrixed global environments.
- Thought‑leadership credentials: publications, consortia involvement, speaker roles.
- Platform architecture, data governance, and regulatory alignment knowledge.
- Familiarity with FDA/EMA frameworks for in‑silico tools.
- Cloud‑native platform experience (AWS, Azure) and high‑performance or federated data environments.
- Proven track record in external partnership development.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Minimum MA/MSc or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Computer Science, or related discipline.
- 10+ years of AI/in‑silico experience in biotech/pharma with executive‑level leadership.
