Job Description
**Job title:** Senior API Developer **Role Summary:** Design, develop, test, and manage APIs on the MuleSoft platform, ensuring high performance, reliability, and scalability. Collaborate with business, Salesforce, and integration teams to translate business requirements into robust, cloud-based API solutions, and serve as a technical lead on integration projects. **Expactations:** - Deliver production‑ready MuleSoft APIs that meet functional and performance specifications. - Serve as a technical lead, mentoring developers and driving best practices. - Resolve complex production issues and coordinate cross‑team fixes. - Keep abreast of MuleSoft, Azure, and integration architecture trends. **Key Responsibilities:** 1. Gather and analyze business requirements, perform impact analysis, and evaluate technical feasibility. 2. Design, develop, test, document, and deploy APIs using MuleSoft components: API Manager, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint MQ, and related tools. 3. Build service designs with RAML (JSON) and OData, and develop Azure‑based APIs where applicable. 4. Optimize API performance (response time, reliability, resource usage). 5. Troubleshoot and resolve production API issues, working with relevant teams. 6. Lead integration architecture discussions, applying SOA, RESTful JSON, batch integration patterns, and cloud integration concepts. 7. Maintain documentation, including design docs, test plans, and technical specifications. **Required Skills:** - Expertise in MuleSoft API development (API Manager, CloudHub, Anypoint Studio, Anypoint MQ). - Proficiency with RESTful API design, RAML, and OData. - Experience with Azure API services and cloud integration. - Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and production support skills. - Knowledge of integration architecture patterns (SOA, batch, REST). - Excellent communication and documentation abilities. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field **OR** high school diploma with 9+ years of application design/development experience. - MuleSoft Developer certification highly preferred; other relevant certifications (Azure, integration architecture) valued. ---
