Job Description

**Job Title** Business Analyst Cloud FinOps **Role Summary** A Business Analyst specializing in Cloud FinOps who drives the adoption of cloud financial operations best practices, designs and implements cost‑management processes, and provides commercial insight to optimize public‑cloud spend across the organization. **Expactations** * Proven commercial/financial management experience within a technology department. * Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure, public‑cloud concepts, and cost‑management mechanics. * Demonstrated ability to analyze large datasets, develop data‑driven executive materials, and present complex financial insights. * Strong written and verbal communication, with a proactive, independent work style. * (Assets) Experience in cost‑management strategies, chargeback/recovery models, TCO, capacity planning, and vendor incentive programs. * Familiarity with AWS, Azure, GCP cost tools (Cost Explorer, CU Reports, Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, credits). * Understanding of cloud billing processes and procedures. * FinOps or TBM certification preferred. **Key Responsibilities** * Champion and promote Cloud FinOps capabilities and best practices organization‑wide. * Design, implement, and continuously improve cost‑management processes, controls, and governance. * Develop and maintain cost transparency dashboards and executive reporting. * Articulate the business value and economics of public‑cloud adoption to stakeholders. * Provide commercial insights and support vendor engagement, including Reserved Instances, Savings Plans, and credits. * Identify cost‑saving and optimization opportunities, collaborating with technology teams to execute improvements. * Track and report on cost‑optimization actions and realized value. * Manage vendor commercial incentives and advanced cost‑recovery models for non‑standard allocations (shared services, SaaS, platforms). * Monitor compliance with cost‑management policies and cross‑functional training & communications. **Required Skills** * Commercial/financial management in technology. * Public‑cloud architecture and cost‑management expertise. * Data analysis, reporting, and executive communication. * Strong written and verbal communication. * Proactive, independent working style. **Required Education & Certifications** * Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent experience). * FinOps or Total Cost of Ownership (TBM) certification preferred.
