Job title: Product Manager – Platform Intelligence, AI/ML
Role Summary: Own and drive AI/ML product strategy for a risk exchange platform, transforming predictive models into high‑value tools for underwriters, capital providers, and partners, while collaborating with design, engineering, and decision science teams.
Expectations: • 5+ years as a Product Manager delivering AI/ML or advanced analytics products
• Proven experience in data‑rich product domains, translating model outputs into user‑facing features
• Background in P&C specialty insurance (underwriting or portfolio management), with geo‑analytics expertise (aggregation, mapping, weather layers, peril overlays)
• Familiarity with geo‑indexing (e.g., H3) and modern data platforms such as Snowflake
• Strong written and verbal communication, independent decision‑making, and ability to navigate ambiguity
• Comfortable with distributed teams, remote collaboration, and executive presentations
Key Responsibilities: • Define and evolve the AI/ML strategy aligned with business goals
• Identify and validate new applications of statistical and machine learning models for risk selection, pricing, aggregation monitoring, catastrophe response, and portfolio management
• Own the roadmap for risk scoring, aggregation monitoring, and geo‑analytics tools, translating model outputs into scalable product features
• Prioritize and manage a clear backlog in partnership with engineering and technical leads
• Collaborate with PMs, designers, actuaries, underwriters, engineers, and data scientists to ensure feasible, scalable, high‑quality solutions
• Champion continuous improvement in data practices and workflow efficiencies across product and tech teams
Required Skills: • Product management in AI/ML or advanced analytics
• Deep understanding of P&C insurance risk, underwriting, and portfolio management
• Geo‑analytics (aggregation, map interfaces, weather layers, peril overlays)
• Knowledge of geo‑indexing (H3) and modern data platforms (Snowflake)
• Strong stakeholder management, cross‑functional collaboration, and prioritization abilities
• Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills
• Self‑directed, problem‑solving mindset with comfort in ambiguity
Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, Business, or related field (equivalent experience acceptable)
• Product Management or Data Science certifications preferred (e.g., Pragmatic, AIPMM, Certified Data Professional)
