Job Title: DevOps Engineer – Remote (Europe)
Role Summary:
Build and scale the infrastructure, tooling, and platforms that empower engineering teams to ship AI‑native, agentic products rapidly. Drive end‑to‑end design, deployment, observability, and security while ensuring high availability and developer productivity.
Exper Expectations:
- 5+ years delivering production infrastructure in fast‑paced startup environments.
- Deep, hands‑on expertise in AWS; design, deploy, and operate secure, scalable systems.
- Strong familiarity with IaC (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and container orchestration (EKS, ECS, Kubernetes).
- Proficiency communicating across technical and non‑technical stakeholders.
- Daily use of AI coding tools (Claude, Cursor, etc.) to architect and optimize workflows that maximize AI‑driven development.
- System‑oriented mindset focused on autonomous components—both human and software.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own the full infrastructure architecture: design, deployment pipelines, observability stack, and security controls.
- Champion CI/CD and IaC practices; maintain reproducible, automated builds and releases.
- Collaborate with cross‑functional squads (engineering, data, product) to define and implement agentic workflows.
- Conduct code reviews, architecture reviews, and on‑call support to keep production stable and performant.
- Proactively detect, diagnose, and resolve performance, reliability, and security issues.
- Guide teams on AI tooling adoption, ensuring best‑practice integration with existing stacks.
- Document processes, maintain runbooks, and keep stakeholders aligned on status and priorities.
Required Skills:
- Expertise in AWS services (EC2, ECS/EKS, RDS, S3, Lambda, IAM, CloudWatch).
- IaC proficiency (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK).
- Containerization & orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes, Helm).
- CI/CD tooling (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI, Jenkins, Argo CD).
- Monitoring & observability (Prometheus, Grafana, Loki, X‑Ray, CloudWatch).
- SRE principles: reliability, observability, automation, change management.
- Programming in Python, Go, or similar for scripting and automation.
- Experience integrating AI coding tools into pipelines and development workflows.
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent work experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect (Associate or Professional) highly desirable.
- Additional DevOps or SRE certifications preferred.
