Job title: Head of International Tax and Transfer Pricing – UK (Remote)
Role Summary
Lead the enterprise‑wide international tax strategy, governance, and execution, overseeing transfer pricing policies and controversy management for a global organization, reporting directly to the Chief Accounting & Tax Officer.
Expectations
- Deliver sustainable tax position aligned with business objectives.
- Provide trusted tax advice on cross‑border structuring, PE risks, M&A, financing, IP, and supply chain design.
- Mentor a global tax team; set KPIs, development plans, and succession pipelines.
- Maintain strong relationships with tax authorities and external advisors.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and refine global international tax and TP strategy, governance framework, and risk appetite.
- Manage cash tax forecasting, repatriation, and partnership with Treasury, FP&A, and Controllership.
- Design and lead cross‑border structuring, financing, IP ownership, and holding company strategies.
- Ensure compliance with OECD BEPS, Pillar Two (GloBE), and local TP rules; coordinate data collection and safe‑harbor analyses.
- Oversee global TP policy implementation, methodology validation, annual testing, and documentation (Master & Local Files).
- Lead and manage tax controversies, audits, APAs, and MAPs across jurisdictions.
- Conduct tax due diligence, post‑deal optimization, and integration for M&A, carve‑outs, and joint ventures.
- Drive automation of TP calculations, controls over tax‑sensitive data, and analytics for reporting.
- Communicate executive‑level tax risk, cash drivers, audit exposure, and regulatory developments.
- Represent the organization at tax authorities, forums, and industry bodies.
Required Skills
- 12–15+ years progressive experience in international corporate tax and TP, with significant leadership responsibility.
- Expertise in OECD BEPS, Pillar Two (GloBE), and multi‑jurisdictional TP documentation.
- Proven track record managing large audits, controversies, and APAs/MAPs.
- Advanced knowledge of UK corporate tax regimes, SAO, CIR, DPT, MDR/DAC6, withholding, and substance requirements.
- Strong analytical, project management, and communication skills.
- Proficiency in Oracle, tax technology, data analytics, and financial statement interpretation.
Required Education & Certifications
- Advanced professional qualification: Chartered Tax Adviser (CTA), ACA/ACCA, or equivalent.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preferred).
