Job Title: Business Consultant – Banking & Regulatory Compliance
Role Summary: Provide expert advisory on regulatory, risk, and compliance matters for banking and financial clients, translating complex frameworks into actionable business and IT solutions to enhance performance and compliance.
Expactations: Deliver high‑quality consulting outputs within agreed timelines, maintain up‑to‑date expertise on evolving regulations, and contribute to pre‑sales activities and business development efforts.
Key Responsibilities:
- Advise clients on regulatory, risk, and compliance challenges in banking and financial services.
- Lead or support engagements around BCBS (Basel III/IV), MiFID II, AML/KYC, PSD2, GDPR, DORA, ESG, and related frameworks.
- Analyse business processes, identify improvement opportunities, and recommend digital transformation initiatives.
- Translate regulatory requirements into actionable business and IT solutions for client implementation.
- Collaborate closely with client stakeholders and internal project teams to ensure delivery excellence.
- Support pre‑sales activities, including proposal preparation and client presentations.
- Monitor market and regulatory developments to provide strategic insights.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 3 years of consulting or business analysis in banking/financial services.
- Deep knowledge of banking operations, compliance processes, and risk management.
- Proven experience with one or more regulatory frameworks (BCBS, Basel III/IV, MiFID II, AML/KYC, PSD2, DORA, ESG, GDPR).
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder‑management abilities.
- Client‑focused, adaptable to dynamic multicultural environments.
- Fluency in Dutch (mandatory) and English (required); French a strong asset.
- (Nice to have) Experience in RegTech and digital transformation initiatives; familiarity with agile or project‑management methodologies.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business, Law, or related discipline.
- Relevant regulatory or compliance certifications (e.g., CRCM, CISA, CISSP, or equivalent) preferred.
