**Job Title**
Security and Network Architect (M/F)
**Role Summary**
Designs, deploys, and evolves secure network infrastructures (WAN, LAN, and data center) for an organization with 1,900 network devices, 140 firewalls, 1,000 Wi‑Fi access points, and three data centers. Works closely with enterprise architects and project leads to integrate security and networking into national IT services, support level‑3 operations, conduct proofs of concept, and guide technology strategy.
**Expections**
- Lead architecture and implementation of secure, scalable network solutions across multiple sites.
- Coordinate with technical architects, project managers, and operational teams to align designs with digital transformation goals.
- Perform technology research, evaluate innovations, and recommend architectural improvements.
- Manage end‑to‑end project delivery: scope definition, documentation, schedule, budgeting, and stakeholder communication.
**Key Responsibilities**
1. **Architecture & Deployment** –
• Develop and refine security and network architectures (WAN, LAN, data center).
• Ensure designs reflect enterprise application architecture and national digital strategy.
• Deploy, configure, and upgrade network devices, firewalls, Wi‑Fi controllers, load balancers, DNS, Radius, and VoIP systems.
2. **Support & Reliability** –
• Act as a level‑3 reference for network and security incidents.
• Maintain high availability and performance of critical network services.
3. **Consultation & Technology Watch** –
• Advise on tool selection and security implications for IT projects.
• Conduct continuous technology monitoring and assess emerging solutions.
4. **Project Leadership** –
• Translate business requirements into technical specifications.
• Manage project life cycle: planning, documentation, risk management, and delivery.
• Liaise with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and contractors.
**Required Skills**
- Proven expertise in network architecture (WAN, LAN, datacenter).
- Strong security knowledge: firewalls, VPN, IDS/IPS, secure network design, compliance (ISO 27001, NIST, PCI‑DSS).
- Hands‑on experience with core networking equipment: Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, Aruba, etc.
- Familiarity with cloud integration (public/private).
- Project management skills: scope, scheduling, budgeting, stakeholder communication.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related field.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
- Certifications: CCNP/CCIE, Cisco Security, or equivalent (CISSP, GCIA).
- Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent) is a plus.
