Job Title: Senior Product Analyst
Role Summary:
Lead product analytics for a growth‑driven tech squad. Own strategic data agenda, drive hypothesis‑based experiments, and translate findings into actionable product and business decisions.
Expectations:
- Shape OKRs, prioritize high‑impact work, and challenge assumptions for data‑driven decision making.
- Champion a strong data culture, educate squad members, and advocate best‑practice analytics.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and own the analytical roadmap, aligning with squad OKRs.
- Explore user behavior and product performance to inform ideation and roadmap direction.
- Translate business questions into testable hypotheses; design, execute, and interpret experiments (A/B/n).
- Deliver deep‑dive analyses, ad‑hoc reports, and ongoing product health dashboards.
- Ensure data integrity: advise on tracking, monitoring, alerting; detect behavioral or feature shifts early.
- Collaborate closely with data engineers and analytics engineers to define data requirements, influence pipeline design, and productionise analyses.
Required Skills:
- Advanced SQL (window functions, CTEs, complex joins) on large platforms (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift).
- Mastery of modern BI tools (Count.io, Looker, Lightdash, Metabase) – build automated, user‑friendly dashboards.
- Proficiency with event‑based analytics platforms (Amplitude, Mixpanel, Heap) and instrumentation knowledge (Snowplow, front‑end/mobile).
- Deep understanding of experimental design, A/B testing, statistical significance, confidence intervals, hypothesis testing.
- Expertise in analytical frameworks: funnel, cohort, segmentation, retention/churn analysis.
- Proven collaboration with Data Engineers and Analytics Engineers; clear grasp of pipeline design and productionisation.
- Strong communication skills: translate complex insights to non‑technical stakeholders.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, or related field; advanced degree preferred.
- Certifications in SQL, data visualization (e.g., Looker, Metabase), or analytics platforms are advantageous.
