Job Description: Job Title: Data Engineer Role Summary: Own and build the data integration layer for an AI‑powered analytics platform, delivering production‑ready connectors to warehouses, databases, and SaaS services, enabling seamless ingestion into an agentic analysis pipeline. Expectations: • 2+ years of data or backend engineering experience focused on data systems. • Proven ability to design, implement, and maintain robust data connectors and pipelines. • Experience in a startup or fast‑growth engineering environment preferred. Key Responsibilities: • Design and implement connectors to major data warehouses (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks). • Build integrations for relational (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB) databases. • Develop API connectors for SaaS platforms (HubSpot, Salesforce, Stripe, Google Analytics, Shopify, etc.). • Create ETL/ELT pipelines to ingest, validate, transform, and load data into forms usable by AI agents. • Define data schemas, validation rules, and error handling for diverse sources. • Implement secure authentication flows (OAuth 2.0, API keys, service accounts) for external data connections. • Collaborate with AI/ML teams to ensure data aligns with profiling, cleaning, and analysis workflows. • Optimize connector performance for large datasets, including incremental syncs and query pushdowns. • Document integration APIs, patterns, and operational procedures. Required Skills: • Strong proficiency in Python and SQL. • Hands‑on experience with at least one cloud data warehouse (Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, Databricks). • Familiarity with ETL/ELT tools and frameworks (dbt, Airflow, Fivetran, etc.). • Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs and interpreting third‑party documentation. • Solid understanding of data modeling, schema design, and data quality practices. • Comfortable with cloud platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure). • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
