Job title: Platform Engineer
Role Summary: Design, automate, and maintain AWS‑based cloud tooling to power modern dev environments. Enhance container workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and self‑service automation, ensuring reliable, secure platform delivery for internal teams.
Expactations: 3‑5 years of hands‑on cloud platform engineering. Proven ability to build, test, and deploy container images at scale. Strong scripting (Python/Java/Bash/Groovy), deep AWS knowledge (EKS, ECS, EC2, CI/CD services), and expertise in certificate management (root/intermediate, keystores, secure communication). Experience with GitHub API for automation and reporting. Demonstrated success in driving technical decisions and optimizing automation.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain reporting dashboards on container configs, deployments, and usage across AWS.
• Design and automate container image builds, updates, and best‑practice implementations.
• Develop and sustain self‑service tooling for engineering teams, streamlining processes and enhancing efficiency.
• Contribute to technology strategy, guiding scalable implementation and automation initiatives.
• Manage CI/CD pipeline maintenance and automated testing workflows.
• Ensure secure system‑to‑system communication through proper certificate chain handling.
• Collaborate with dev teams to improve container‑based development environments.
Required Skills:
• Proficient in Python, Java, Bash, or Groovy for automation.
• Containerization expertise (Docker, ECS/EKS, image creation, profile management).
• Strong AWS service knowledge (EKS, ECS, EC2, CI/CD, networking).
• Experience with GitHub and GitHub API (reporting, automation, PR management).
• Competence in certificates, keystores, and networking security.
• Familiarity with automated testing frameworks.
• Ability to design scalable, reliable cloud‑native platforms.
• Excellent problem‑solving and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Relevant certifications preferred: AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate/Professional, AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional, or similar cloud platform credentials.
