Job Description

Job Title: Lead Java Developer Role Summary: Lead, architect, and deliver Java‑based solutions across all SDLC phases, driving performance, maintainability, and scalability in distributed systems. Expactations: Deliver high‑quality, production‑ready code with minimal defects; meet sprint commitments; continuously improve automation coverage; influence architectural direction and team best practices; mentor peers on Java, Spring Boot, and cloud technologies. Key Responsibilities: - Write and maintain robust Java code, Spring Boot services, Kafka streams, and Kubernetes deployments. - Conduct thorough design and code reviews, document APIs, and uphold coding standards. - Design, build, and evolve end‑to‑end test automation suites (unit, integration, functional, e2e). - Estimate, prioritize, and sequence development tasks in alignment with Scrum ceremonies. - Identify and mitigate technical dependencies and risk factors across stages. - Collaborate closely with architects, DevOps, and cross‑function teams to integrate CI/CD pipelines. - Monitor, debug, and tune applications using industry‑standard tools (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana, ELK). - Advocate for DevOps practices and contribute to infrastructure as code rollout on AWS. Required Skills: - Advanced Java proficiency, Spring Boot, Kafka, Kubernetes, and JUnit 4/5. - Proficient with Git/GitHub workflow. - Hands‑on AWS experience (EC2, ECS/EKS, IAM). - Strong test automation background (unit, integration, functional, e2e). - Agile/Scrum experience and facilitation skills. - Expertise in debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning of distributed systems. - Excellent communication and teamwork abilities. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent practical experience). - Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Java SE 8 Programmer, Spring Professional) are advantageous but not mandatory.
