**Job title:**
Solution Architect (Azure, Event Driven, Cloud Native)
**Role Summary:**
Design and govern scalable, secure, Azure‑based, event‑driven, cloud native architectures that enable the organization’s multi‑year transformation, reduce technical debt, and support long‑term growth.
**Expectations:**
- Deliver high‑quality architectural solutions that meet business, security, and regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrate ownership of end‑to‑end design from requirement capture to deployment and production support.
- Lead technical decision‑making and influence engineering teams and stakeholders.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Assess existing on‑premise and cloud environments, identifying modernization opportunities.
- Define, document, and approve architectural blueprints, component diagrams, data flow, and integration patterns.
- Specify Azure services (App Service, Functions, Event Grid, Service Bus, AKS, Logic Apps, Cosmos DB, etc.) and infra‑as‑code (ARM, Terraform).
- Ensure architectures address scalability, availability, resilience, cost optimisation, and security compliance.
- Conduct architecture reviews, technical debt assessments, and risk analysis.
- Mentor engineering teams, share best practices, and establish reusable patterns and templates.
- Liaise with product managers, platform teams, and operations to translate business needs into technical solutions.
- Champion continuous improvement and automation of deployment pipelines (CI/CD) and observability.
**Required Skills:**
- Deep expertise in Azure cloud services and event‑driven architecture.
- Strong knowledge of micro‑services, containerisation (Docker, Kubernetes), and cloud‑native patterns.
- Experience with infrastructure‑as‑code tools (Terraform, ARM, Bicep).
- Proficiency in Azure security services (RBAC, Key Vault, Sentinel), compliance frameworks, and threat modelling.
- Familiarity with performance monitoring, metrics, and log analytics (Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, Application Insights).
- Excellent stakeholder communication, technical documentation, and negotiation skills.
- Proven ability to handle large‑scale migrations and multi‑region deployments.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field.
- Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (or equivalent).
- Demonstrated experience as a Solution Architect or senior technical architect in a cloud‑native, event‑driven environment.
