Job Description
Job Title: IT Officer Role Summary: Ensure reliable operation of local IT infrastructure, align local initiatives with corporate strategy, and support end‑users across a multi‑site environment. Expactations: Deliver secure, high‑availability systems; maintain compliance with global standards; drive continuous improvement; collaborate with corporate IT and business units. Key Responsibilities: - Manage, maintain, and optimize local Windows/Linux servers, virtual environments (VMware, Hyper‑V), and Azure cloud services. - Administer LAN/WAN/VPN, firewall, VLAN, and networking protocols; enforce security controls and policy compliance. - Deploy, configure, and secure SQL Server, MySQL, and PostgreSQL databases; monitor performance and ensure GDPR‑aligned data handling. - Maintain and customize local proprietary ERP; coordinate updates, integrations, and user training; produce tailored reports. - Provide Level 2/3 technical support, document incidents, and elevate recurrent issues to corporate IT. - Plan and execute local migration, modernization, and new‑tool deployment projects; collaborate with stakeholders and vendors. - Participate in corporate IT meetings, share best practices, and support global standardization. Required Skills: - Proficient in Windows/Linux systems, virtualization, networking, and database administration. - Strong security knowledge: antivirus, SIEM, MFA, backup/recovery (PRA/PCA). - ERP administration and data integration expertise. - Monitoring tools (Nagios, Zabbix), ITSM solutions (GLPI, SCCM). - Advanced English (written & spoken) and fluent French. - Analytical, autonomous, initiative‑driven, and effective cross‑cultural communication. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in an international or multi‑site setting. - Technical certifications: Cisco CCNA, Microsoft Azure, CompTIA Security+ (or equivalent).
