Job Description
**Job title:** Warehouse Associate **Role Summary:** Full‑time warehouse operator working across multiple operational areas—material handling, packaging, shipping, inventory control, and order picking. The role encompasses 8 am‑4:30 pm first‑shift responsibilities and 4 pm‑12:30 am second‑shift duties, with opportunities to transition from contract to permanent employment. **Expactations:** - Must be legally entitled to work in Canada. - Fluent in spoken and written English. - Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lb, standing, and using manual labor. - Commuting to Caledon, ON, is required. - Availability full‑time, Monday‑Friday (first shift 6 am‑2:30 pm or 7 am‑3:30 pm; second shift 4 pm‑12:30 am). - Willingness to work contracts initially with the option for permanent status. **Key Responsibilities:** - Move and store materials using pallet jacks and forklifts. - Package parts per production standards: hand packaging, labeling, and machine packaging. - Prepare and load outbound shipments, ensuring correct documentation. - Perform inventory counts, maintain accurate stock records. - Pick and assemble order bundles for dispatch. - Operate reach trucks and forklifts as required for order picking and inventory control. - Ensure compliance with safety and quality protocols. **Required Skills:** - Physical stamina and manual dexterity. - Basic numeric and record‑keeping abilities. - Attention to detail and accuracy in packaging and labeling. - Effective communication in English. - Team collaboration and independent task execution. **Required Education & Certifications:** - High school diploma or equivalent. - Valid forklift operator certification (must hold for inventory control and second‑shift order picking). - Reach truck certification preferred. - Prior experience with packaging equipment and shipping processes is advantageous.
