Job Description
Job title: Applications Engineering Intern Role Summary: Full‑time, 12‑week internship focused on support and development of analog IC and module products for DC‑DC power conversion solutions. Intern works with Applications Engineering (AE) and Design Engineering (DE) teams to simulate, bench‑evaluate, debug, and document new products. Expectations: • Demonstrate strong written and verbal communication in English. • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams. • Attend scheduled office/lab days (approximately 3 days per week). • Deliver concise application notes, design notes, and presentation summaries to senior leadership. Key Responsibilities: - Research MPS power product portfolio and emerging technologies. - Provide application support to customers and Field Application Engineers. - Collaborate with AEs/DEs on new product evaluation, simulation, bench testing, and debugging. - Write application notes, design notes, and technical articles. - Present project summaries and results to senior leadership. Required Skills: - Hands‑on experience in power electronics hardware implementation and testing. - Schematic capture and PCB layout proficiency. - Familiarity with simulation tools for DC‑DC converter development. - Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal). - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Required Education & Certifications: - 3rd‑year BSEE or 4th‑year MSEE student with current enrollment. No additional certifications required.
