Job Title: Events and Marketing Manager
Role Summary: Drive planning, execution, and promotion of a bi‑annual restaurant‑focused festival, overseeing event concept development, vendor negotiations, day‑of operations, communications, digital marketing, collateral production, partnership development, and sponsorship support.
Expectations: Deliver high‑quality content and guest experiences in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment; collaborate across functions; maintain professional, customer‑focused service for high‑net‑worth guests; gradually expand into client‑management responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop creative festival line‑ups, itineraries, sub‑series, and new event proposals.
- Negotiate contracts, finances, and restaurant sign‑ups.
- Manage on‑site festival operations, problem‑solve, and ensure premium guest experience.
- Create written copy and source imagery for email marketing, social media, website updates, ticketing pages, and press releases.
- Operate the festival email system and coordinate graphic assets.
- Plan and publish a social media calendar across Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, integrating partner content and improving engagement metrics.
- Proofread, approve, and manage production of printed collateral (menus, etc.) via digital asset tools.
- Handle small partnership agreements and support the acquisition of secondary‑tier sponsors (e.g., hotels, travel, retail).
- Support additional projects and occasional travel within an event‑centric organization.
Required Skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication; strong interpersonal abilities.
- Highly organised, meticulous, with exceptional attention to detail and prioritisation skills.
- Commercial mindset, proactive problem‑solving, entrepreneurial attitude.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and presentation tools.
- Experience managing Instagram, TikTok, and Facebook accounts.
- Event management experience preferred; client‑facing background a bonus.
- Knowledge of advertising agency client‑account management or PR beneficial.
- Passion for the food and restaurant sector.
- Capacity to perform under pressure, multitask, and meet tight deadlines.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Hospitality, Event Management, Business Administration, or a related field; or equivalent professional experience.
