**Job Title** Marketing Lead (12 month FTC) **Role Summary** Lead marketing efforts for a portfolio of large‑scale trade events, driving delegate acquisition and sponsorship revenue. Own campaign strategy, budgeting, and performance measurement while managing a junior marketer and coordinating with external partners and internal teams. **Expectations** - Deliver measurable ROI on event marketing spend. - Manage all campaign budgets and timelines single‑handed. - Mentor a junior marketing executive. - Build and nurture relationships with media partners, agencies, and industry associations. - Use data analytics and marketing platforms to optimise campaigns continuously. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and execute multi‑channel marketing campaigns (email, print, telemarketing, social media, PPC, etc.) for trade events. - Develop and monitor budgets, timelines and key performance indicators. - Train, coach, and evaluate junior marketing staff. - Analyse campaign data (Google Analytics, Eloqua, Marketo, Salesforce, Cvent, etc.) to refine strategies. - Negotiate and manage media partnerships, including outreach, barter, and tracking. - Collaborate with digital marketing agencies on paid media effectiveness. - Coordinate front‑end creative production and back‑end support for all event marketing assets. - Liaise across sponsorship, programming and operations teams to align marketing with business objectives. - Create and implement social media strategies tailored to event audiences. - Produce content marketing to generate leads and sustain year‑round engagement. - Ensure contractual marketing obligations with external clients are met. **Required Skills** - Minimum 3 years experience in events marketing. - Strong understanding of the customer journey, acquisition processes and digital marketing channels. - Proficiency with marketing‑automation and analytics platforms (e.g., Google Analytics, Eloqua/Marketo, Salesforce, Cvent). - Familiarity with back‑end website editing (WordPress) and paid‑media tools. - Excellent communication, stakeholder management and negotiation abilities. - High attention to detail, proofreading and organisational skills. - Innovative, curious about new marketing strategies and comfortable with emerging technologies. - Ability to work independently and manage multiple simultaneous projects. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field. - Certifications in digital marketing, analytics, or event management (e.g., Google Analytics IQ, Salesforce Certified Marketing Cloud, Cvent Certified Administrator) preferred.
