Job Description
Job Title: Technology & Biomedical Research Internship Role Summary: A 10‑12 week full‑time internship focused on health information technology and biomedical research. Interns will work on multiple projects, collaborate with cross‑functional teams, and design and present a technology solution under the guidance of a mentor. Expectations: - Deliver a fully developed technology application by the end of the program. - Actively contribute ideas, participate in meetings, and collaborate with all levels of the organization. - Present progress and final project results to stakeholders. Key Responsibilities: - Assist in the design, development, and testing of health‑tech products. - Support data collection, analysis, and interpretation for biomedical studies. - Contribute to prototype development, coding, and documentation. - Collaborate with product managers, engineers, and researchers on project deliverables. - Prepare and deliver interim and final project presentations. Required Skills: - Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities. - Basic programming skills (Python, R, Java, C++, or similar). - Familiarity with data analytics, visualization, and version control tools. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment. - Self‑motivated, creative thinker eager to learn and apply new technologies. Required Education & Certifications: - Current enrollment in a BS, MS, or Ph.D. program in Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, Health Informatics, Life Sciences, or a related field. - Ability to commit to full‑time participation for 10‑12 weeks (June 1–Aug 15) or part‑time during the academic year, with flexible in‑person, hybrid, or remote arrangements. - No specific certifications required; knowledge of biomedical research methods or software development lifecycle is advantageous.
