Job Description

Job Title: Software Developer Apprentice – Level 3 Role Summary: Acquire foundational software development skills through a nationally recognised Level 3 Apprenticeship while contributing to internal systems, tools and application development across the organization. Expectations: Complete the apprenticeship programme, demonstrate progress in coding, testing, and secure development practices, and apply learnings to real-world projects under supervision. Key Responsibilities: - Assist with software application and internal tool development. - Write, test, and debug code under supervision. - Support system improvements, automation projects, and data handling initiatives. - Document code, development processes, and testing activities. - Participate in updates, bug fixes, and maintenance of existing systems. - Collaborate with IT and business teams to meet system and operational requirements. Required Skills: - Strong interest in programming and technology. - Basic exposure to coding languages such as Python, JavaScript, HTML/CSS, or SQL. - Logical thinking and problem‑solving ability. - Attention to detail and quality focus. - Effective communication and teamwork. - Willingness to learn secure coding and data protection practices.
