Job Title: Senior Software Developer
Role Summary:
Lead end‑to‑end software development for cloud‑native applications on AWS. Own design, coding, automated testing, and deployment, ensuring scalable, maintainable, and high‑quality solutions across front‑end, back‑end, and integration layers.
Expectations:
* Minimum 7 years of professional software development.
* Mandatory AWS Developer Associate certification.
* Optional AWS DevOps Professional certification.
* Strong fluency in English and French (written and spoken).
Key Responsibilities:
1. **Planning & Estimation** – Draft specifications, estimate effort, and participate in Agile ceremonies (daily standup, sprint planning, review, retrospective).
2. **Technical Design** – Contribute to architecture decisions, choose appropriate technologies, frameworks, and tools.
3. **Development & Testing** – Implement Java/SpringBoot back‑end, Angular/Node.js front‑end, publish REST APIs; write unit, integration, E2E tests (JUnit, Cypress, Playwright); maintain code quality and performance.
4. **Integration & Release** – Package releases, create technical documentation, support production rollout with DevSecOps; configure environments (dev, prod, etc.).
5. **Production Support & Maintenance** – Fix post‑deployment defects, monitor application performance, update libraries, and manage security and obsolescence.
Required Skills:
* Languages & Frameworks: Java, SpringBoot, Angular 19/20, Node 22.
* Testing: JUnit, integration tests, Cypress, Playwright, E2E.
* Databases: PostgreSQL, Aurora.
* AWS: Lambda, SNS, SQS, CloudWatch, other cloud‑native services.
* DevOps & CI/CD: Terraform, GitLab, Docker, Jenkins, Maven, CI/CD pipeline management, DORA metrics awareness.
* Collaboration tools: Confluence, Jira.
* Strong documentation and communication skills.
Required Education & Certifications:
* AWS Certified Developer – Associate (mandatory).
* AWS Certified DevOps Engineer – Professional (optional).
