Job Description

Job Title: Senior Data Scientist Role Summary: Lead advanced analytics and machine learning initiatives using Databricks and AI‑copilot tools (Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot) to design, develop, and production‑grade models on large structured and unstructured datasets. Expectations: - Deliver end‑to‑end ML solutions with high code quality, leveraging AI assistance for speed and reliability. - Collaborate across data engineering, product, and business teams. - Drive continuous improvement of analytics pipelines and data governance. Key Responsibilities: - Perform data analysis, feature engineering, and model development in Databricks (Spark, Delta Lake). - Build, train, and deploy statistical and machine‑learning models; manage model lifecycle with MLflow or similar. - Use Microsoft Copilot / GitHub Copilot to accelerate coding, experimentation, and documentation. - Produce dashboards, reports, and visualizations for stakeholders (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib). - Ensure data quality, pipeline performance, and adherence to best practices. - Communicate findings and technical concepts to non‑technical audiences. Required Skills: - 5+ years as a Data Scientist or equivalent. - Hands‑on experience with Databricks, Python (R optional), and strong SQL. - Proficiency with AI‑copilot tools (Microsoft Copilot, GitHub Copilot). - Solid foundation in statistics, ML algorithms, and data modeling. - Experience with data visualization tools (Power BI, Tableau, matplotlib). - Ability to deploy models in production environments. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Data Science, Statistics, Computer Science, or related field. - No additional certifications required, though knowledge of Azure Databricks or related cloud platforms is preferred.
