Job Description
**Job Title** MI Data Analyst **Role Summary** Analyze and transform financial and non‑financial data to support enterprise risk reporting across multiple jurisdictions. Collaborate with data sources, resolve quality issues, and deliver accurate, timely risk metrics to senior management, boards, and regulators. **Expectations** - Deliver consistent, high‑quality risk reports and dashboards. - Maintain data reliability, security, and compliance with internal standards. - Optimize ELT pipelines and automate scheduling to replace manual Excel processes. **Key Responsibilities** - Design, implement, and maintain ELT processes for large datasets. - Write complex SQL queries, optimize performance, and structure data for visualization. - Develop and manage Power BI dashboards, including DAX, Power Query, and gateway configurations. - Collaborate with stakeholders to prioritize business needs and align data solutions. - Conduct data investigations, resolve quality issues, and perform audit checks. - Document data models, ETL logic, and analytical procedures. - Prepare risk reports, KRI displays, and board decks with visual insights. - Automate data refresh and reporting workflows, ensuring end‑to‑end reliability. - Ensure adherence to security, privacy, and compliance requirements. **Required Skills** - Advanced SQL (windows functions, CTEs, stored procedures). - ELT/ETL design and implementation. - Power BI (DAX, Power Query, workspaces, gateways). - Programming proficiency in Python (or equivalent). - Advanced Excel (pivot tables, formulas, data manipulation). - Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem‑solving abilities. - Excellent stakeholder communication and prioritization. - Project and time management skills. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, or a quantitative discipline. - Minimum 4 years’ experience in data analytics and reporting (financial operations or risk reporting considered an asset).
