Job Title: Energy Analyst Intern Role Summary The role supports power market research, forecasting, and data analysis for utility‑scale energy storage and renewable projects. The intern will build and refine Excel/advanced spreadsheet models, evaluate market variables, and contribute to feasibility assessments and industry trend studies. Expectations - Paid full‑time summer internship (June 8 – August 14 2026). - Based in Austin, TX, or willing to relocate for the internship period. - Works in person from the office. - Works independently while collaborating with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities - Conduct research on energy industry trends, best practices, and emerging technologies. - Prepare power market forecasts and analyses on climate change, carbon, clean‑energy, and fossil‑fuel markets. - Gather market variables from subject matter experts, perform sensitivity analyses and stress tests, and report findings. - Build and maintain financial and voltage‑frequency models in Excel or equivalent. - Analyze large datasets to solve complex problems. - Create presentations, documentation, maps, and reports. - Evaluate new project feasibility and support due‑diligence activities. - Complete ad‑hoc projects and special assignments as required. Job Description
**Job title:** Civil Drafting Engineer Intern **Role Summary:** Supports civil design drafting, site layout creation, and permitting documentation for utility‑scale Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and PV hybrid renewable projects. Collaborates with civil engineers, land developers, and project managers to produce high‑quality drawings and documentation that meet project and regulatory standards. **Expactations:** Full‑time summer internship (June 8 – August 14 , 2026). Must work onsite in Austin, TX or relocate for duration. Engage in multiple drafting tasks, maintain drawing files, and assist with basic civil calculations. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare and revise site development drawings for BESS and PV hybrid facilities. - Create and update CAD drawings (site layouts, technical specifications, generation tie‑in exhibits). - Incorporate redlines and design changes into exhibits. - Draft permitting exhibits for wetlands, buffers, setbacks, floodplains, and other environmental compliance matters. - Maintain organized drawing files, logs, and revision histories. - Coordinate with engineering and development teams to ensure drawings align with project scope, company standards, and regulatory requirements. - Perform basic civil calculations as directed. - Review drawings for consistency with standards and applicable codes. - Update and maintain design templates in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Excel). **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in AutoCAD / AutoCAD Civil 3D drafting. - Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint. - Ability to script in VBA, MATLAB, or Python for drafting automation. - Understanding of engineering drawing standards, scales, and drafting conventions. - Strong attention to detail and multi‑task management. - Effective written and verbal communication. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s program in Environmental Engineering or a related field; at least junior‑year standing. - Coursework or experience in civil/site design, environmental engineering principles (surveying, hydrology, soil mechanics), or related areas. - No specific certifications required.
