**Job Title**
Azure Cloud Engineer
**Role Summary**
Mid‑Senior level engineer responsible for designing, implementing, and operating Azure infrastructure and CI/CD pipelines to support federal customers. Focus on infrastructure‑as‑code, observability, and cloud‑native best practices while ensuring federal compliance.
**Expectations**
- 5+ years of cloud DevOps experience, primarily on Azure.
- U.S. citizen or green‑card holder; able to pass background check and obtain a public‑trust clearance.
- Proven ability to deliver under pressure in fast‑paced environments.
- Strong collaboration and communication skills to support development teams.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Design, provision, and maintain Azure infrastructure using IaC tools (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK, etc.).
- Develop and manage CI/CD pipelines and continuous monitoring solutions.
- Write and maintain Linux/Bash scripts and code in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, or similar languages for installation, configuration, and provisioning.
- Implement containerization (Docker, containerd) and orchestrate workloads.
- Build observability frameworks: monitoring, alerting, and logging.
- Manage network, compute, and database resources via IaC.
- Perform source control operations with Git (branching, merging, commits, etc.).
- Integrate external APIs (REST, JSON, auth tokens).
- Ensure adherence to federal security and compliance standards.
**Required Skills**
- Azure infrastructure design and deployment.
- IaC expertise (Terraform, Pulumi, AWS CDK).
- Linux administration and Bash scripting.
- Programming/scripting in Java, Kotlin, JavaScript, Bash.
- Container technologies (Docker, containerd).
- CI/CD architecture and implementation.
- Cloud observability (monitoring, alerting).
- Git version‑control proficiency.
- Networking, compute, and database management via IaC.
- API integration (REST/JSON).
- Strong problem‑solving, communication, and teamwork abilities.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or equivalent experience.
