**Job Title:** DevOps Engineer I
**Role Summary:**
Junior to mid‑level DevOps Engineer responsible for designing, automating, and maintaining infrastructure, CI/CD pipelines, and deployment workflows. Works closely with development, security, and operations teams to ensure secure, reliable, and scalable delivery of applications in a fast‑paced production environment.
**Expactations:**
- Implement Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and automation for provisioning, configuration, and deployment.
- Integrate security scanning, compliance checks, and monitoring throughout the DevOps lifecycle.
- Collaborate on incident response, runbook maintenance, and support low‑frequency on‑call duties.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Design and maintain IaC using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or equivalent.
- Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins) including AI/ML workflow support.
- Deploy and manage containerized workloads (Docker, Kubernetes, OpenShift) and artifact repositories.
- Implement monitoring, logging, alerting, and observability (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack).
- Conduct performance, vulnerability, and compliance assessments; remediate findings.
- Manage virtualized platforms (VMware, Hyper‑V, Proxmox) and hybrid cloud environments.
- Maintain runbooks, documentation, and support incident triage and resolution.
- Communicate with software teams on releases, rollback procedures, and security best practices.
- Adopt and promote IaC, GitOps, and secret‑management practices.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives and automation tooling.
**Required Skills:**
- 1–3 years of DevOps, SRE, or systems‑administration experience.
- Proficiency in Bash/Shell, Python, or similar scripting languages.
- Hands‑on experience with Git, CI/CD platforms, containers, and orchestration concepts.
- Familiarity with IaC tools and cloud virtual‑machine platforms (AWS EC2, Azure VMs, GCP Compute Engine, or comparable).
- Basic Linux/Unix administration, networking, and logging/monitoring tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies and DevOps principles.
- Ability to integrate security scans and vulnerability management into pipelines.
- Excellent problem‑solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- Relevant DevOps certifications preferred (e.g., AWS Certified Solutions Architect – Associate, Azure Fundamentals, GCP Associate Cloud Engineer, Docker Certified Associate, Kubernetes Administrator).
