**Job Title:** Senior Manager, Analytics
**Role Summary:**
Lead the organization’s analytics function, transforming complex datasets into clear, actionable insights that inform strategy, decisions, and impact measurement. Manage high‑impact, cross‑functional data projects, act as a strategic partner to leadership, and drive the analytics team’s evolution from a service function to a key decision‑making partner.
**Expectations:**
- Design, implement, and continuously refine rigorous impact‑measurement frameworks across all communication and programmatic channels.
- Synthesize complex data into concise, actionable recommendations and proactively communicate them to senior leadership, board members, funders, and cross‑functional teams.
- Oversee end‑to‑end data and analytics initiatives, ensuring alignment with organizational goals, technical standards, and timelines.
- Provide expert guidance on data interpretation, evaluation design, and analytical best practices to empower staff across the organization.
- Identify data knowledge gaps, design and execute strategies to close them through improved data collection, integration, or acquisition.
- Mentor and shape the analytics team's strategy, performance goals, and culture of continuous improvement.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Build and maintain impact‑measurement frameworks for multi‑channel initiatives.
- Lead cross‑functional analytics projects, from scoping to delivery, managing scope, schedule, and resources.
- Develop and publish complex, interactive dashboards and reports using Tableau, Looker, or equivalent BI tools.
- Write and optimize advanced SQL queries for large datasets, ensuring performance and data integrity.
- Translate data findings into compelling stories for technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Advise stakeholders on evaluation design, data requirements, and analytical approaches.
- Identify and address data knowledge gaps through enhanced data collection and integration strategies.
- Mentor junior analysts and contribute to the analytics team’s strategic vision.
**Required Skills:**
- 5+ years in data analytics, including measurement and evaluation.
- Strong project‑management skills with a track record of leading data‑driven initiatives.
- Proficiency in advanced SQL; experience querying and optimizing large databases.
- Extensive experience with BI tools (Tableau, Looker, Power BI, or similar).
- Exceptional written and verbal communication; ability to translate complex data into actionable insights.
- Stakeholder engagement, cross‑functional collaboration, and presentation skills.
- Knowledge of data governance, quality assurance, and analytical best practices.
- Ability to prioritize multiple competing initiatives and deliver results on time.
**Required Education & Certifications:**
- Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Economics, Business Analytics, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
- Relevant certifications (e.g., Tableau Desktop Specialist, SQL certification, Google Data Analytics Certificate) are advantageous.
