Job title: Frontend Developer (Front-End Engineer II)
Role Summary:
Mid-level front‑end engineer focused on designing, building, and maintaining high‑quality, scalable UI components and shared design systems. Works closely with product, design, and back‑end teams to deliver performant, accessible, and responsive web experiences while mentoring junior developers and driving engineering excellence.
Expectations:
- 3–5 years of front‑end development experience.
- Proficiency in Angular (required) with strong knowledge of React or similar frameworks.
- Deep understanding of component‑based architecture, design systems, accessibility (WCAG), performance optimization, and responsive design.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with cross‑functional teams, conduct code reviews, and contribute to sprint planning.
- Willingness to mentor junior engineers, grow toward architectural ownership, and explore AI‑driven innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain complex UI components using Angular/React and related technologies.
- Contribute to and evolve shared component libraries and design systems.
- Ensure high standards for performance, accessibility, and responsiveness across products.
- Debug, optimize, and refactor front‑end codebases.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and back‑end engineers on requirements, data integration, and API usage.
- Participate in code reviews, technical discussions, and sprint planning.
- Mentor Front‑End Engineer I team members and share best practices.
- Identify and pilot AI tools to improve development processes and product quality.
Required Skills:
- Angular (core requirement), React, or equivalent modern JavaScript framework.
- JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML5, CSS3, and component‑based architecture.
- Experience with accessibility guidelines (WCAG), performance tuning, and responsive design.
- Familiarity with version control (Git), debugging tools, and cross‑browser testing.
- Strong communication, collaboration, and mentorship abilities.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Relevant front‑end or JavaScript certifications are a plus.
