Job Title: Cloud Engineer
Role Summary: Lead the design, implementation, and maintenance of a global cloud infrastructure that supports core applications and data systems. Build secure, scalable, and highly available platforms using Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and Kubernetes orchestration, while ensuring alignment to approved design patterns and security standards.
Expactations: Deliver reliable, secure, and scalable cloud solutions that meet business requirements. Apply automation, incident response, and best‑practice engineering to improve efficiency and reduce MTTR. Collaborate cross‑functionally to define requirements, implement solutions, and drive continuous improvement in infrastructure performance and security.
Key Responsibilities:
- Architect and implement global cloud infrastructure on AWS (EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, databases, monitoring).
- Develop infrastructure as code with Terraform and maintain IaC pipelines.
- Containerize applications using Docker, orchestrate with Kubernetes, and manage production workloads (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).
- Design and manage cloud and container networking (VPC, routing, load balancers, DNS, security).
- Ensure infrastructure reliability, availability, and scalability through automation, scripting, and software engineering practices.
- Monitor systems, manage incidents, and reduce mean time to resolution using data‑driven insights.
- Implement secure configurations and protect against cyber‑attacks and vulnerabilities.
- Foster collaboration with product managers, architects, and engineers for seamless integration and alignment with business objectives.
- Stay current with industry trends and contribute to technology communities.
Required Skills:
- Proven experience building and operating AWS production environments (EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, databases, monitoring).
- Hands‑on expertise with Kubernetes in production (deployment, scaling, troubleshooting).
- Strong knowledge of cloud and container networking (VPC, routing, load balancers, DNS, security).
- Expertise in Infrastructure as Code using Terraform.
- Proficiency in Docker containerization.
- Ability to automate tasks/processes using scripting and CI/CD pipelines.
- Solid security acumen and experience configuring secure infrastructure.
- Analytical problem‑solving, incident management, and data‑driven decision making.
- Effective collaboration across functional teams.
- (Preferred) Experience with Generative AI services, Java backend services, and monitoring/logging tools.
Required Education & Certifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- AWS Certified Solutions Architect or comparable cloud certification.
- Terraform Certified Engineer and/or Kubernetes Certified Administrator (preferred).
