Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Data Engineer **Role Summary:** Lead the design, implementation, and optimization of scalable data pipelines within a global Data Platform team, while serving as the primary technical liaison for local stakeholders. Champion platform convergence, migration of legacy systems, and continuous improvement of ELT/ETL processes across AWS, Snowflake, Spark, Kafka, and Snowpark environments. **Expectations:** - Deliver production‑grade data architecture that meets performance, reliability, and cost goals. - Bridge local business requirements with global platform standards, ensuring compliance with data governance, lineage, and observability. - Drive adoption of the new data platform locally and foster collaboration across time zones. **Key Responsibilities:** - Design and build scalable ELT/ETL pipelines (batch & streaming). - Implement layered data models (Bronze / Silver / Gold) and maintain data integrity. - Contribute to CI/CD, monitoring, and observability pipelines for platform resilience. - Lead migration of legacy data domains and dashboards to the new shared platform. - Act as the primary technical contact for Analytics, Product, and Engineering stakeholders. - Facilitate workshops, technical discussions, and knowledge sharing sessions. - Prioritize and drive convergence milestones in collaboration with global teams. **Required Skills:** - 6+ years in data or analytics engineering with hands‑on experience on Snowflake and cloud data platforms. - Strong proficiency in SQL and Python; experience with Scala is a plus. - Expertise in Spark, Kafka, and Snowpark for data processing. - Solid understanding of data modeling, lineage, governance, and distributed systems architecture. - Proven experience leading data migrations or platform transformations. - Excellent communication skills in English; French language skills are highly desirable. - Demonstrated ability to work across multiple teams and time zones, translating business needs into technical solutions. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related field. - Certifications such as SnowPro, AWS Big Data Specialty, or related cloud data platform credentials are advantageous.
