Job Description
**Job title** Embedded Electronic Systems Architect **Role Summary** Architects avionics and embedded electronic architectures for space and aeronautical platforms. Drives interface design, power sizing, low‑level protocols, and time‑of‑flight management. Collaborates with system, flight‑software, integration, and hardware teams to define hardware‑software interactions, qualification modes, and to validate equipment compliance. **Expactations** - Define and maintain coherent avionics architectures across platforms. - Produce interface specifications, power budgets, and protocol definitions. - Validate Electrical Ground Support Equipment (EGSE) and on‑board hardware against system needs. - Investigate anomalies and support root‑cause analysis. - Deliver technical reports and review project progress. - Support functional aeronautical competence center as needed. **Key Responsibilities** - Design and define electrical interfaces and data pipelines. - Perform bandwidth and power budget analysis. - Specify low‑level protocols (e.g., SpaceWire, UART, CAN). - Manage time distribution and synchronization onboard. - Participate in EGSE validation and maintenance. - Coordinate with equipment suppliers (central processor, EPS, SCAO, sensors, actuators). - Verify equipment conformity to system requirements. - Contribute to anomaly investigations and solutions. - Interface with flight system and flight‑software managers for HW/SW integration. - Provide support to hardware/software integration, avionics AIT, and qualification teams. - Participate in project reviews and technical meetings. - Draft progress and technical status reports. **Required Skills** - Avionics architecture for satellites or real‑time aerospace systems. - Expertise in embedded electronic system programming. - Proficiency with power systems (EPS, solar panels). - Strong mixed‑signal electronics knowledge. - Experience with electrical standards: LVTTL, LVDS, RS‑485/422. - Knowledge of low‑level exchange protocols (SpaceWire, UART, CAN). - Ability to collaborate across multidisciplinary project teams. - Solid RF knowledge preferred. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or related field. - Relevant certifications in embedded systems or avionics (e.g., Certified Systems Engineering Professional) are advantageous.
