Job Description

**Job Title:** Senior Associate – AI Contracting & Governance **Role Summary:** Senior Associate within the Technology Transactions team, focusing on AI contracting and governance while also handling broader technology transaction matters such as cloud, SaaS, system implementation, and outsourcing agreements. Acts as a primary advisor to clients, leads transaction projects with limited partner oversight, and contributes to business development. **Expectations:** - Minimum 6 years post‑qualification experience in technology transactions with demonstrable AI‑related work. - Ability to quickly grasp and clearly explain complex legal issues to clients and colleagues. - Lead significant AI and technology deals independently, providing “light‑touch” partner supervision. - Proactively develop client relationships and expand professional network both internally and externally. **Key Responsibilities:** - Advise on AI contractual and governance matters, identifying and mitigating legal risks. - Draft, negotiate, and review AI, cloud, SaaS, implementation, and outsourcing agreements. - Manage end‑to‑end technology transaction projects, coordinating with cross‑functional teams. - Communicate complex legal concepts effectively to non‑legal stakeholders. - Participate in business development activities: client outreach, networking, and thought‑leadership initiatives related to AI and technology law. **Required Skills:** - Strong knowledge of AI law, data protection, and emerging technology regulations. - Proven experience in technology transactions (cloud, SaaS, outsourcing). - Excellent drafting, negotiation, and contractual analysis abilities. - Effective verbal and written communication; ability to convey technical legal issues succinctly. - Leadership and project‑management competence with minimal supervision. - Business‑development orientation and networking capability. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Qualified lawyer (Solicitor, Attorney, or equivalent) with a law degree. - Admission to practice in the relevant jurisdiction. - Post‑qualification experience of at least 6 years, predominantly in technology transactions and AI matters.
