Job Description
Job title Data Engineer Role Summary Design, develop, and maintain end‑to‑end data pipelines and transformations using Microsoft Fabric, Azure services, and DBT, ensuring accurate, secure, and high‑performance data flow for analytical workloads. Expectations Deliver reliable, scalable data pipelines and transformations; collaborate with cross‑functional teams; follow best practices in data governance, security, and performance; continuously improve processes and stay current with emerging data technologies. Key Responsibilities - Build, test, and deploy data pipelines with Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, and Azure Data Lake Storage. - Create and maintain DBT models and transformation logic for data quality and modeling. - Ingest and integrate data from multiple source systems into the data platform. - Monitor pipeline health, troubleshoot failures, and investigate data quality issues. - Document data models, pipeline architecture, and operational procedures. - Participate in code reviews and peer learning initiatives. - Partner with senior engineers on data governance, security policies, and performance tuning. Required Skills - Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts. - Experience with cloud data services (preferably Azure). - Hands‑on knowledge of Microsoft Fabric, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse Analytics, Azure Data Lake Storage, and DBT. - Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills. - Excellent written and verbal communication. - Ability to work independently and collaboratively. Required Education & Certifications - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related quantitative field. - Azure‑related certifications (e.g., Azure Data Engineer Associate) are advantageous but not mandatory.
