Job Description
Job Title: Cyber Security Consultant Role Summary: Provide expert cyber risk assessment and mitigation for private equity firms and portfolio companies throughout the investment lifecycle, driving due diligence, security uplift, and governance alignment. Expectations: - Deliver actionable, evidence‑based security findings that inform investment decisions. - Drive measurable security improvements across portfolio entities. - Communicate complex technical concepts clearly to senior executives. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct cyber security due diligence on acquisition targets, identifying vulnerabilities and remediation roadmaps. - Advise deal teams on risk implications, cost exposures, and integration considerations. - Design and lead post‑acquisition security uplift plans across portfolio companies. - Perform maturity assessments using NIST CSF, ISO 27001, CIS, and other recognized frameworks. - Provide guidance on governance, policies, controls, and regulatory requirements. - Support incident response readiness and lead investigations when required. - Translate technical findings into executive‑level insights and recommendations. Required Skills: - Proven experience with private equity, investment, or financial services environments. - Strong cyber security consulting, risk management, and technical assessment capabilities. - Deep knowledge of cloud security, networking, identity, data protection, and threat management. - Ability to develop pragmatic, commercially aligned solutions. - Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement at executive and operational levels. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Security, or related field. - Relevant certifications (CISSP, CISM, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor, or equivalent).
