Job Title: Gynaecology Healthcare Assistant (HCA) Role Summary: Support outpatient clinics and procedure sessions in a consultant‑led gynaecology service, ensuring efficient patient flow, safety, and high standards of patient dignity and confidentiality. Expectations: * Fixed‑term 6‑month contract, primarily weekends. * Proven experience in a healthcare setting with a background in gynaecology or related clinical support. * Commitment to NHS best practice, infection control, and governance procedures. Key Responsibilities: * Provide chaperone support during examinations and procedures. * Assist clinicians during outpatient clinics and procedure sessions. * Prepare, set up, and reset clinic rooms to support efficient patient flow. * Maintain patient dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times. * Follow Trust policies, infection control standards, and governance procedures. * Work collaboratively with clinical and administrative teams. Required Skills: * Patient‑care focus with professionalism and discretion. * Experience as a chaperone and in clinical room support. * Knowledge of infection control and NHS governance standards. * Strong communication, teamwork, and organizational skills. * Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently. Required Education & Certifications: * Healthcare Assistant qualification (e.g., NVQ Level 2 in Health and Social Care) or equivalent. * Relevant experience in gynaecology or acute care setting. * Current registration or completion of CPD in health and safety and patient care.
