Job Description
Job title: Platform Administrator Role Summary: The Platform Administrator manages and optimises a global Microsoft 365 environment and associated identity, email, and collaboration platforms. The role ensures secure access, high availability, and compliance while providing tier‑2/3 support and driving automation across the organisation. Expectations: - 5+ years of experience administrating Microsoft 365 in a global enterprise. - 3+ years managing Microsoft Azure, Mimecast, and Okta. - Advanced PowerShell scripting and automation proficiency. - Microsoft certifications: Enterprise Administrator Expert, Azure Administrator Associate, Security/Compliance/Identity Fundamentals (or equivalent). - Experience in financial, legal or debt‑recovery sectors preferred. Key Responsibilities: - Administer global identity & access management (SSO, MFA, Conditional Access, role‑based policies). - Configure, monitor, and update Microsoft 365 services (Exchange, Intune, SharePoint, Teams, etc.) and licensing. - Manage email security via Mimecast: policy set‑up, threat protection, incident response (phishing, spam, malware). - Oversee Okta, Citrix DaaS, Zoom, Ninja RMM, Salesforce, PowerDmarc, WEM/FSLogix, Pantheon/Wordpress, and other platform integrations. - Conduct regular security and compliance audits, document findings, and recommend improvements. - Automate repetitive tasks using PowerShell, Azure Logic Apps or other tools. - Monitor system health, performance, and availability; troubleshoot and resolve issues. - Assist with M365 migrations, upgrades, and new feature deployments. - Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior team members. - Maintain detailed documentation of configurations, processes, and best‑practice guidelines. Strong knowledge of security frameworks, tools, and regulations. **Key Responsibilities** - **Application Security Engineering**: Integrate security into CI/CD pipelines (DevSecOps), execute SAST and DAST for proprietary applications, remediate vulnerabilities, and perform threat modeling for new features. - **Systems Security**: Define secure baselines for servers (Windows/Linux), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure), and databases. Manage endpoint security, IAM frameworks (MFA, SSO, PAM), and patch/vulnerability remediation. - **Network Security**: Configure firewalls (NGFW), NIPS/IDS systems, and secure remote access.
