**Job Title** Registered Polysomnographic Technologist – Travel (Sleep Study) **Role Summary** Provide high‑quality polysomnography (PSG) services as part of a mobile sleep‑study team. Operate and maintain sleep‑study equipment, collect and interpret patient data, and support clinical teams across multiple sites while traveling. **Expectations** - Perform sleep studies on diverse patient populations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with clinical protocols. - Manage equipment set‑up, troubleshoot technical issues, and maintain data integrity. - Maintain patient confidentiality, document findings, and collaborate with physicians and sleep‑medicine staff. - Adapt to varying travel schedules and settings with a professional, patient‑centered mindset. **Key Responsibilities** - Prepare and calibrate PSG equipment, including EEG, EOG, EMG, ECG, respiratory, and pulse‑oximetry sensors. - Conduct patient interviews, obtain informed consent, and apply electrodes and sensors. - Monitor recordings in real time, adjust settings, and troubleshoot malfunctions. - Generate raw data files, export, and transmit results following facility protocols. - Maintain accurate logs, sterilize equipment, and ensure compliance with safety standards. - Communicate findings with physicians, nursing staff, and other technologists to support patient care. - Attend training, update skills, and meet quality‑assurance benchmarks. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in polysomnography equipment operation and data acquisition. - Strong technical troubleshooting and equipment maintenance abilities. - Excellent patient communication and interviewing techniques. - Ability to work independently in a traveling clinical environment. - Familiarity with medical record systems and documentation standards. **Required Education & Certifications** - Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Sleep Technology, Nursing, or related field. - Valid Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) credential (or equivalent). - Current Good Standing in state licensure, if applicable. - Ability to travel and obtain necessary work authorizations.
