Job Description
**Job Title:** Planning Student Intern **Role Summary:** Support design and construction administration across all project phases, including master‑plan reports, construction documentation, and data analysis. Contribute to the visual expression of design concepts and assist in model building for client and team reviews. **Expactations:** - Demonstrate initiative and collaborative teamwork. - Consistently meet project deadlines and uphold HOK document standards. - Maintain high‑quality documentation and proper archival practices. - Engage in continuous learning of design processes, sustainability and integrated design principles. **Key Responsibilities:** - Prepare master‑plan reports and construction documentation. - Build and update 3‑D models for client/project team review. - Compile data and perform elementary design computations. - Conduct benchmarking research on programming, comparable projects and images. - Ensure HOK document standards are met and archive documents appropriately. - Promote a collaborative and innovative culture throughout the project lifecycle. **Required Skills:** - Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook). - Strong visual communication skills (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, SketchUp). - Experience with GIS and Ecotect. - Ability to conduct basic design calculations and data analysis. - Excellent verbal and written communication. - Team orientation and effective time‑management. **Preferred Skills:** - BIM/Revit and Newforma proficiency. - Experience with GIS tools and environmental analysis software. - Knowledge of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Current enrollment in a landscape architecture, architecture, or urban design program. - Basic understanding of sustainability, integrated design and LEED guidelines.
