Tech Policy Intern (Summer 2026)
**Role Summary**
Assist the Tech Policy team in researching and analyzing EU‑US technology and trade issues, supporting stakeholder engagement, and producing policy‑focused deliverables. Work independently and collaboratively on events, outreach, and strategic initiatives to advance transatlantic tech policy objectives.
**Expectations**
- 20–40 hours/week (full‑ or part‑time), unpaid internship for a minimum of three months (June‑August 2026).
- Availability to work remotely or on‑site as required.
- Proactive, detail‑oriented, and able to manage multiple tasks under tight deadlines.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Conduct research and analysis on technology policy, innovation, economic security, and transatlantic cooperation.
- Monitor developments in AI, export controls, data sovereignty, and digital markets.
- Draft reports, policy briefs, and other program publications.
- Assist in planning and executing panel discussions, workshops, and roundtables.
- Support outreach to policymakers, industry leaders, and academic experts.
- Provide logistical and administrative support for program activities.
- Contribute to strategic initiatives and advocacy efforts of the Tech Policy team.
**Required Skills**
- Strong research, analytical, and writing abilities.
- Excellent verbal and written communication.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and collaboration tools (e.g., Teams).
- Familiarity with core tech‑policy topics (AI, supply chains, digital markets, economic security).
- Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Detail‑oriented, organized, and a collaborative team player.
**Required Education & Certifications**
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an undergraduate or graduate program in International Relations, Political Science, Public Policy, Technology Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum junior or senior standing for undergraduates; graduate enrollment acceptable.
- No specific certifications required.
