Job Description: **Senior Electrical Engineer (Buildings)** **Role Summary** Lead end-to-end electrical engineering projects for commercial construction, renovations, and site work in northern and remote environments. Deliver practical, code-compliant solutions requiring technical expertise, cross-functional collaboration, and project leadership. **Expectations** - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. - Professional Engineer (PE) license registered with Engineers Canada, eligible in Yukon, BC, NWT/Nunavut. - 7+ years of experience in electrical engineering, with progressive leadership in design and construction administration. **Key Responsibilities** - Direct project lifecycle activities, including planning, design, budgeting, execution, and delivery. - Conduct technical assessments, design services, and construction supervision. - Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, clients, and contractors to align project goals and timelines. - Ensure compliance with electrical and building codes, regulatory standards, and quality protocols. - Mentor junior staff and provide technical guidance. - Develop proposals, reports, and project documentation. - Identify and implement process improvements for efficiency. **Required Skills** - Proficiency in AutoCAD, AGI32, Bluebeam, MS Office Suite, and cloud-based project/CRM tools. - Working knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, National/BC Building Codes, ULC Standards, and National Fire Code. - Valid driver’s license with a clean abstract. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering. - Professional Engineer (PE) license registrations. - Certification eligibility with Engineers Canada for Yukon, BC, NWT/Nunavut. *Asset Qualifications:* Experience with REVIT, ETAP, or EASYPOWER.
