**Job Title**
SVP / VP, Business Development
**Role Summary**
Lead and grow the new‑business function for a healthcare communications agency. Own strategy, pitch execution, and client portfolio expansion. Serve as the primary liaison with senior pharmaceutical and biotech executives, crafting compelling narratives that integrate science, strategy, and creativity.
**Expectations**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Own new‑business strategy, qualification, and prioritization.
- Develop pitch strategies, narratives, and value propositions.
- Lead early conversations with prospective clients and represent the agency’s capabilities.
- Mobilize multidisciplinary teams—Creative, Strategy, Medical, Engagement—for pitches.
- Ensure all pitch materials (insight, creative concept, omnichannel plans) are integrated, persuasive, and aligned to client needs.
- Oversee RFI/RFP responses, scopes of work, budgets, credentials decks.
- Conduct market intelligence on therapeutic areas, pipeline activity, and competitive landscapes to inform BD strategy.
- Present at conferences, industry events, and thought‑leadership forums.
- Create processes, tools, and best practices to elevate the BD discipline.
- Hire, develop, and mentor BD personnel.

- Proven success in securing high-value pitches; experience with multimillion‑Dollar contracts.
- Familiarity with scientific, strategic, and creative agency functions.
