Job Description
Job Title: Machine Learning Engineer Role Summary: Develop, deploy, and maintain data‑driven perception and behavior models for robotics platforms. Lead end‑to‑end machine learning lifecycle, from data pipeline design to real‑world model validation and integration with robotic systems. Expectations: - Minimum 3 years of proven experience building and shipping production machine learning models. - Hands‑on experience with imitation learning, reinforcement learning, or behavior cloning, preferably applied to robotics. - Strong familiarity with large‑scale data collection best practices. - (Optional) Peer‑reviewed publications in top robotics/ML conferences (ICRA, IROS, CoRL, CVPR, NeurIPS, etc.). Key Responsibilities: - Design, train, validate, and launch imitation learning and reinforcement learning models. - Build and maintain scalable data pipelines for training, evaluation, and continuous learning. - Develop and execute software and hardware evaluation/testing procedures for model performance. - Deploy models onto robotic platforms, troubleshoot latency, hardware constraints, and system integration issues in real‑world environments. - Collaborate with robotics and software teams to ensure seamless model integration and performance monitoring. Required Skills: - Proficiency in Python, TensorFlow/PyTorch, and deep learning frameworks. - Expertise in imitation learning, reinforcement learning, and behavior cloning algorithms. - Data engineering skills: pipeline construction, data preprocessing, feature engineering, and large‑scale dataset management. - Experience with model deployment, benchmarking, and debugging in constrained hardware environments. - Strong analytical skills, with ability to design and interpret rigorous evaluation metrics. - Good communication and teamwork skills for cross‑functional collaboration. Required Education & Certifications: - Bachelor’s (or higher) degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Robotics, or related field. - Advanced degrees or relevant certifications preferred but not mandatory.
