**Job Title:** Managing Director | Head of Technology Investment Banking **Role Summary:** Lead the technology practice within a middle‑market investment bank, driving deal origination, execution, and client advisory across software, SaaS, IT services, cybersecurity, fintech, and related verticals. Oversee transaction lifecycle from pitch to closing, build and nurture client relationships, and mentor junior bankers while shaping strategic direction. **Expectations:** - Deliver superior results in technology M&A and capital advisory. - Grow business through personal network and proactive deal sourcing. - Maintain high levels of professionalism, integrity, and work ethic. - Foster a collaborative, entrepreneurial culture and support team development. **Key Responsibilities:** - Develop and execute business‑development plans to expand technology client base. - Originate and close new M&A and capital‑raising transactions across technology subsectors. - Lead deal teams: preparation of pitches, valuations, negotiations, and transaction closing. - Advise clients on corporate finance strategies and complex financial concepts. - Manage client relationships, ensuring satisfaction and repeat engagement. - Mentor and develop junior staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. - Represent the firm at industry events, enhancing reputation and network. - Contribute strategic insights to the firm’s growth and positioning within the market. **Required Skills:** - 10+ years of investment banking experience, with a proven track record in middle‑market M&A or capital advisory. - Deep expertise in technology sub‑sectors: software, SaaS, IT services, cybersecurity, fintech. - Strong transaction execution skills: deal sourcing, due diligence, valuation, negotiation, closing. - Superior client‑relationship management and networking capabilities. - Leadership and team‑management experience in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. - Excellent written and verbal communication, with ability to convey complex financial information clearly. **Required Education & Certifications:** - Bachelor’s degree (required); Master’s or advanced degree preferred. - Active FINRA licenses (Series 7, 66, or equivalent).
