Job Title: Lead Solutions Engineer (Data Solutions)
Role Summary
The Lead Solutions Engineer will architect, execute, and support data‑centric solutions for Trustpilot’s commercial team. Acting as the technical bridge between clients and the internal data platform, the role leads data trials, onboarding, due diligence, and knowledge sharing to advance sales and product adoption.

- Serve as the subject‑matter expert on all data products and APIs.
- Guide new customers from technical enablement to production use.
- Manage DDQ compliance and coordinate security/legal requirements.
- Work independently with minimal oversight while keeping cross‑functional stakeholders aligned.
- Thrive in a fast‑paced, early‑stage environment, making proactive decisions.
Key Responsibilities
1. Run and manage client data trials: build custom back‑testing datasets, generate sample reports, and provide in‑depth analysis.
2. Act as a technical advisor: articulate product value to technical and non‑technical audiences, stay current on feature releases, and prepare internal knowledge bases.
3. Facilitate technical onboarding: walk clients through API documentation, resolve integration issues, and onboard them onto internal platforms.
4. Own the DDQ process: lead completion of detailed Due Diligence Questionnaires, collaborating with Legal, Security, and Engineering to deliver accurate information on data coverage, security, and privacy.
5. Collaborate with sales, product, and engineering to refine data solutions and accelerate the 0–1 product lifecycle.
6. Use data wrangling and visualization tools to build compelling presentations (e.g., Thinkcell) and reports that drive prospects’ decisions.
7. Maintain an up‑to‑date repository of best practices, FAQs, and technical documentation for internal use.
Required Skills
- Proficient in SQL and data manipulation; strong knowledge of APIs and data integration pipelines.
- Experience with Python or R for data analysis and scripting.
- Familiarity with PowerPoint automation tools such as Thinkcell.
- Prior client‑facing technical experience (Solutions Engineer, Sales Engineer, Technical Account Manager).
- Ability to complete complex technical questionnaires and DDQs.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, capable of translating technical concepts for diverse audiences.
- Strong problem‑solving, project management, and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to work independently in a high‑growth, uncertain environment.
Required Education & Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Engineering, or related field.
- Certifications in SQL, data engineering, or a relevant platform (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) are a plus.
