Job Description
**Job title** Business Analyst – Operations & Sales **Role Summary** Provide strategic financial insight across the group, linking finance, commercial, product, operations and IT. Design, build and optimise BI dashboards, perform margin and cost analysis, partner with product and sales to drive pricing, product launch, and operational efficiency, and lead a data engineering resource to ensure data integrity and automation. **Expectations** - Deliver actionable analytics that directly influence margin improvement and cost optimisation. - Maintain an accurate, up‑to‑date data environment across ERP, BI and operational tools. - Strive for continuous improvement in reporting and process, managing change projects with cross‑functional teams. **Key Responsibilities** 1. Build, evolve and govern BI dashboards and reports for sales, margins, pricing, digital KPIs and cost drivers. 2. Analyse revenue, margin and price by channel, region, product, and key accounts; compare budget, forecast and historical performance; identify drivers and recommend improvement plans. 3. Prepare consolidated cost‑of‑goods, evaluate variances, and advise on industrial and logistics optimisation. 4. Partner with product teams from conception to launch: calculate cost of goods, set pricing, monitor project controls, evaluate risks and gate decisions. 5. Support specific projects, tenders and the US subsidiary; provide training to plant controllers. 6. Lead a data engineer/architect to deliver clean, reliable datasets and automate reporting. **Required Skills** - Advanced analytical and quantitative abilities; data modelling expertise. - Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, Power Pivot), SQL, and BI platforms (Power BI, Tableau, Qlik, etc.). - Strong understanding of ERP (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and data governance practices. - Effective communication and stakeholder management in multi‑country, multi‑channel environments. - Problem‑solving attitude; ability to challenge business units and translate numbers into action. **Required Education & Certifications** - Bachelor's +5 (Master level) in Finance, Management Accounting, Engineering, Business Analytics or equivalent. - Minimum 5 years in operational control, business analysis or similar roles within retail, FMCG, or industrial manufacturing. - Certifications such as PMP, Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP) or equivalent are a plus.
