Job Description: Job Title: Investment Manager (Contract) Role Summary: Part‑time contract investment manager for an early‑stage AI venture fund, responsible for supporting fundraising, portfolio operations, deal sourcing, and fund workflow optimization. Expectations: 3–5 years VC experience; independent, high‑detail orientation; strong communication and analytical skills; ability to work asynchronously; proactive problem‑solving. Key Responsibilities: • Own fundraising support workflows (CRM, LP tracking, updates, memos, FAQs, follow‑ups). • Draft full investment memos and lead end‑to‑end company diligence. • Maintain portfolio data, reporting inputs, and data‑room hygiene. • Produce external‑facing materials (fund wiki, process docs). • Screen inbound deal flow and prioritize opportunities. • Source and research new investment prospects; conduct sector research, market sizing, competitive and risk analyses. • Identify workflow inefficiencies and implement process improvements or automations. • Serve as thought partner to the GP on fund narrative, positioning, and institutional readiness. Required Skills: • 3–5 years venture capital experience, preferably early‑stage B2B SaaS/technology. • Fundraising support, LP reporting, and diligence process experience. • Strong analytical ability; financial modeling expertise. • Excellent written communication; minimal editing required. • Self‑direction, judgment, prioritization, and systems thinking. • Curiosity and quick learning of new markets/technologies. • Proficient with VC tooling (CRM, Carta, Notion, data rooms, Google Workspace). Required Education & Certifications: • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Economics, Engineering, or related field. • Relevant certifications (e.g., CFA, CPA, or equivalent) preferred but not mandatory.
