Job Title: Applied AI ML Lead
Role Summary
Lead end‑to‑end development of large‑scale AI/ML initiatives, translating business requirements into state‑of‑the‑art models and production pipelines for NLP, personalization, recommendation, and information retrieval.
Expectations
Drive measurable business impact by delivering high‑performance, production‑ready ML solutions; collaborate cross‑functionally to prioritize projects; maintain rigorous experimentation and metrics; mentor junior team members and uphold best engineering practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Define problem statements and execution roadmaps with product leaders.
- Design, train, and evaluate NLP and generative AI models using Transformers, Hugging Face, TensorFlow, PyTorch, etc.
- Build and operationalize AutoML/AutoNLP pipelines, batch and real‑time prediction services, and orchestrate workflows on AWS (SageMaker, Glue, EC2).
- Conduct large‑scale data modeling experiments, present results to senior stakeholders, and recommend data‑driven decisions.
- Collaborate with business, product, compliance, and engineering teams to deploy solutions into production.
- Establish A/B testing frameworks, monitor model performance, and iterate based on intrinsic/extrinsic metrics.
- Ensure code quality through unit testing, CI/CD, and production‑grade debugging.
Required Skills
- 7+ years in data science/ML, strong mathematical/statistical foundation.
- Proficiency in Python (or Java/C/C++); experience with NumPy, Pandas, Scikit‑Learn.
- Expertise in NLP, generative AI, LLMs (GPT, Claude, Llama) and prompt engineering.
- Hands‑on with large‑scale training, active learning, multi‑agent learning.
- AWS deployment experience (SageMaker, Glue, EC2).
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and independent execution.
- Ability to design experiments and interpret business‑aligned metrics.
Required Education & Certifications
- BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, Data Science, Statistics, Mathematics, or related field.
- (Optional) Relevant certifications in AI/ML or cloud platforms (e.g., AWS Certified Machine Learning).
